Local SEO · Ireland

Local SEO Ireland:
be found nearby.

When someone needs a business in their area, your website and Google Business Profile should make the choice easier. I help Irish shops, clinics and service businesses improve local visibility and turn relevant searches into useful enquiries.

What's included

Local SEO services with a clear purpose.

Local search review

I review what customers search for, which businesses appear and how your website and profile currently answer that need. The starting point is your actual services and catchment area, rather than a list of every town in Ireland.

Google Business Profile

Categories, services, opening hours, contact details and the linked website page all need to reflect the real business. I review the profile and identify gaps, with access kept under your control and changes agreed before they are made.

Useful local pages

A location page should explain where you work, what you offer and how customers can contact you. I plan useful information around the service area, avoiding repeated pages that change only the town name.

Consistent business information

I review important business listings and the contact information on your own site. Incorrect details and obsolete listings can confuse customers. The work focuses on accuracy and relevant sources, rather than collecting directory entries for their own sake.

Reviews & customer confidence

I help you establish a practical process for asking customers for honest feedback and responding to reviews. Relevant work, clear contact details and genuine customer experiences also help visitors decide whether to enquire.

Enquiry-focused reporting

Reporting brings profile activity and website search performance together with the enquiries you can verify. We separate calls or website clicks from confirmed jobs, so an increase in activity is not automatically presented as new revenue.

The approach

Your real business.
Your real area.

Local SEO depends on the relationship between the service, the searcher and the location. A business covering Cork suburbs needs a different plan from a clinic with several genuine branches. I work from Cork with businesses across Ireland, agreeing a scope around where customers can actually buy from you.

  • 01

Establish the baseline: priority services, real locations, current enquiries and available Business Profile and Search Console data.

  • 02

Correct the essentials: profile information, website contact routes, useful service descriptions and any technical obstacles affecting important pages.

  • 03

Build relevant detail: service-area information, examples of work, customer questions and genuine review processes that the business can maintain.

  • 04

Review and refine: inspect relevant visibility and enquiries, with clear notes on what changed and the next priority.

Questions

Common questions.

What affects local rankings on Google?+

Google explains that local results consider relevance, distance and prominence. Accurate information helps Google understand the business, but distance is part of the result too. You cannot buy a better organic local position. See Google's local ranking guidance for the official explanation.

Do you work with businesses outside Cork?+

Yes. I provide local SEO services to businesses across Ireland, based on their genuine locations and service areas. For Cork-specific SEO, the existing SEO Cork page explains my wider service. A national business may be better served by SEO consultancy for Ireland.

Can I rank in every town by creating more pages?+

Publishing a town name is not enough to make a page useful. I recommend separate pages only where there is meaningful information for that audience, such as a genuine branch, relevant work or different service arrangements. Local rankings also vary with the searcher's location.

Do I need an office address for each area?+

No. We describe the business as it actually operates. Google's Business Profile guidelines set conditions for displaying locations and exclude virtual offices that are not eligible operating locations. Service-area businesses should follow the appropriate profile rules rather than invent a public office.

What does local SEO cost?+

I quote against the number of genuine locations, the state of the website and profile, and the ongoing work required. My existing SEO service lists retainers from €500 per month; the written proposal confirms the scope and any separate costs. The guide to SEO rates and pricing explains what to compare.

How will we know whether it is working?+

We agree a baseline and review relevant searches, website visits and profile activity alongside actual enquiries. Calls and direction requests are useful indicators, but they are not completed sales. If there are wider website problems, an SEO audit can help establish the priorities first.
